Christian Cultural Center was the place to be Saturday, May 17, 2014. “Hope and A future” – A celebration of Haiti, was a cultural and inspirational experience for all attendees. This concert was the official launch and introduction to our fellow partner C2C (Community 2 Community) “Ayiti Marché”! The festive and vibrant “Ayiti Marché” (Haitian Kreyòl for Open Market) introduced and brought forth Caribbean and American businesses and other organizations the opportunity to share their services to the Caribbean community. All participants were able to participate in the culinary delights and sounds of Haiti, while exploring the artistic and cultural creativity through the various vendors in attendance.
Sponsored by Christian Cultural Center, New York Daily News, WBLS FM/WLIB AM,Amour Creole, Positive Community , Haitian Times and New York Amsterdam News, the Celebration featured international cultural artists – Belo and Haitian Jazz Ensemble Mozayik with Melanie Charles and Francine E. Ott. Proceeds from the celebration fueled DloPouViv and Community2Community’s (C2C) ongoing efforts to restore clean water.
